What you’ll be doing:
Enable the Suburban team to utilize Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) tools to their fullest extent
Enable technology to drive maximum utilization of prefabrication services and field installation instructions
Establish, implement and maintain BIM standards
Develop BIM documentation, workflow process standards and execution plan
Creation and maintenance of the software template files to assure standards
Automate routines in BIM to support standards and productivity
Drive content creation; working with Revit Specialist
Develop and maintain Revit families
Oversee day-to-day Revit Specialist and Modeler activities to assure standards in creation of Revit models
Create Revit models from design plans and details for use by customers, trade partners, engineering team and operations team
Troubleshoot BIM and other VDC software issues
Work with vendors on content download
Conduct clash detection and conflict resolution proactively working with all disciplines
Coordinate with professional staff on reviewing models via Design Review
Work with engineering to produce construction documents
Assist with project cost estimating as needed
Stay abreast of VDC trends and technologies keeping Suburban on the leading edge
Aide Account Management team in presenting BIM capabilities to existing and prospective clients
Work cross-functionally to educate the organization on systems, tools and processes
Work with business development on managing BIM strategy and marketing material
Internal training of new reports and continuing education for existing team members

Support of field safety initiatives
Coaches others on the importance of safety, including team members, general contractors, customers and other trades.
What you’ll bring to the table:
Completion of a computer aided drafting and design technical school program preferred
3 years of design, engineering or drafting experience
Experience with Revit (Evolve and Dynamo experience encouraged,) AutoCAD and other BIM software
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, email, Web-enabled applications and database software
Must work well as part of a team
