Suburban Electric is looking for a Purchasing Agent to join the team, the work is highly precise in nature and requires a very strong attention to detail. This position requires the work to be very high quality with correct results to be checked and double checked. This position will include independent and steady paced work while following the companies procedures and processes. Are you up for the challenge?
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Work with vendors on ordering, price negotiation, delivery schedule, product or service availability, materials ordered and the status on those materials
Establish and cultivate Supplier relations for the responsible divisions
Will need a high attention to detail to purchase materials for all of Suburban’s Prefab shop, Safety, Tools shop, Field Materials, and office supplies
Research supply chain options to ensure end-use requirements are met, drive standardization where appropriate, and ensure best value to maximize efficiencies and profitability
Using technology to enter information required for purchase orders ensuing that materials are being tracked for invoicing
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1+ year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least two years of Electrical Experience preferred but not required
