Suburban is looking for a Prefabrication Foreman to lead the prefab team in ensuring efficiency of crew and work orders. The ideal candidate must be highly detailed and requires sharp organizational skills. This position also requires a candidate who is passionate on mentoring and developing Youth Apprentices and leading a crew of 5-10 people.
Can recognize future opportunities or additional work. Brings this information to supervisor or salesperson’s attention. Maintains a professional, courteous, and helpful disposition when communicating with a customer, general contractor or another subcontractor
Organizes the materials, labor, and equipment necessary for timely installation per the construction schedule. Ensures the quality of workmanship for these installations
Has the ability to do advanced paperwork such as change orders, Foreman logs, completing T&M sheets, etc.
Performs additional assignments as required by the needs of the company or as directed
Actively seeks knowledge of FMI processes and is able to perform the following:

Post Job Reviews
Demonstrates electrical and mechanical ability though job performance
Has the ability to work without direct supervision
Monitors and reports on the project’s progress and changes in scope in comparison to the construction schedule established. Reports any potential problems which may delay progress of the project
Reviews all contract documents for technical installation methods and displays a complete understanding of the scope of work
Assists in training Apprentices and new team members while demonstrating the proper installation methods, customer communications and co-worker support
Remains up to date on all applicable codes, installation methods and specific project plans and specifications
Actively seeks new construction methods or Prefab opportunities and equipment applications that will lower construction costs or reduce construction time. Stays abreast of new materials, design concepts, and construction techniques in order to assure the most economical design and a timely completion schedule for each project
Take steps to ensure customer satisfaction, if not should be able to search out issue and convey to supervisor
Recognizes customer’s need is most important
Demonstrates ability to consistently complete projects within budget, on time and in a safe manner
Develops and retains great team members
Supports team member career paths with training and experiences allowing them to reach their highest potential
Demonstrates a commitment to zero accidents and every accident is preventable through training, risk prevention, and continuous improvement
Always adheres to all safety policies and practices. Wears steel toed shoes, hardhat, gloves, and safety glasses on all job sites
Must possess basic knowledge in the use of a PC, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
The employee frequently is required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and work overhead
The employee must frequently lift and/or move at least 25 pounds. – if lifting 50 pounds you must seek assistance

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Minimum of five years’ experience
Must possess a state Journeyman’s License
Must be certified in CPR and First Aid or able to obtain certification shortly after start date.
Complete OSHA 10
ARC Flash Training
This position may require employees to drive a company vehicle. If so, employees must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record that allows the company to insure such individual under the company’s insurance policies. Employee must also carry auto liability insurance. Employee will be subject to the Company’s policy concerning company vehicles
