Suburban Electric is looking for an Estimator to join the team! The ideal candidate would have a very strong attention to detail, would be patient and conscientious. It is vital for the work output to be very high quality, with correct results, time and time again. This position requires checking and double-checking as often as necessary.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Working with cutting edge software to create extremely accurate and professional estimates
Presenting detailed proposals to both internal and external customers
Studying scopes, blueprints, specifications and related documents with a high level of accuracy to identify labor and material requirements
Coordinating with internal and external customers to gather detailed information
Attending site visits to confirm existing conditions and positively impact project profitability
Working under deadline pressures in an efficient, composed and calm manner
Estimating both engineered and design / build projects that range in size from hundreds to millions of dollars
Consulting with Team Lead regarding workload and maintaining outlook calendar to assist with scheduling
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE:
Electrical Journeyman’s license or at least three years of related electrical experience and/or training
Knowledge of code and municipal permitting and licensing requirements
Strong communication and organizational skills
Good time-management skills and the ability to multi-task
Excellent computer proficiency and trouble-shooting skills, proficient with Microsoft Office programs
Estimating software experience is a plus
