What You’ll Be Doing:
Apply electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge, to design/build electrical distribution, circuitry, and controls for subsequent evaluation and use by engineering staff in making engineering design decisions.
Research, design, develop, test, or supervision of the installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, facilities.
Ability to assess workplace surroundings and take corrective action.
Knowledgeable and efficient in current edition of design software.
Electrical design and code knowledge including NFPA, NEC, and UL.
Electrical engineering project estimating experience. (Not estimating parts and pieces)
Knowledge of municipal permitting and licensing requirements or ability to navigate municipal system and determine same.
Computer proficiency especially with Microsoft Office programs, the Internet and specified engineering software.
Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented.
Good interpersonal skills along with effective oral and written communication skills.
Blueprint reading ability.
Ability to work without direct supervision.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and confidentiality.
Must possess the ability to multi-task and work within scheduled deadlines.
Tactful in their dealings with people using good customer service and interpersonal skills, communicating effectively with co-workers, managers, and business associates.
Knowledge of costs associated with actions performed within their position.
Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships.
Willing to explain, guide and train as opportunities arise.
The ability to work overtime on occasion may be necessary.

What you’ll bring to the table:
Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one year to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and present to Engineering Project Manager.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
This position may require employees to drive a company vehicle, employees must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
