Suburban Electric is looking for an Account Manager that will drive customer relationships and sales strategies with a strategic mindset. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Expected Results: Covers accounts of strategic importance to Suburban (size, segment or profitability)
Complete ownership of developing and implementing sales strategies that lead to increase satisfaction, customer retention and increased sales for strategic accounts.
Build loyalty and strengthen Suburban’s position with strategic accounts by understanding customer’s objectives and needs; effectively applying breadth of Suburban’s services to meet the customer’s needs.
Owns leading and coordinating sales efforts from conceptual design and planning through contract and work completion, to ensure achievement of assigned objectives and company goals.
Develop an accurate, detailed and comprehensive written strategy and account plan for each strategic account.
Constantly educate and reinforce how Suburban’s services translate into value and benefits for strategic accounts.
Gain deep understanding of customer’s business, wants and needs, and speak their language; develop loyalty, trust and commitment.
Build customer relationships through credibility and consistency. Make sales calls on customers and prospects at a frequency that will place Suburban in the preferred position.
Highly responsive when called upon to address individual needs or opportunities, internally and externally.
Facilitates relationship between strategic account leadership and Suburban personnel.
Coordinate account initiatives with pre-construction and operations teams; plan and lead meetings to lay out action plans with all key stakeholders including Suburban senior leaders.
Maintain all information in CRM for the account.
Evaluates, studies, and anticipates market conditions, trends and competitors by engaging various members of the value chain and other primary or secondary data sources.
Participates in relevant industry groups, organizations, business journals, government regulation, and trade shows to stay abreast of market insights and help expose higher thinking and competitive advantage.
Prepares and facilitates presentations to diverse audiences, including owners, C-level, general contractors, engineers and architects, adapting to personality differences and various levels of technical comprehension.
Supports monthly forecasting and annual strategic planning process by evaluation of selected accounts and associated opportunities.
Aid in accurate invoicing, change orders, and collections.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE:
Ability to network inside an organization to establish relationships with, and influence key decision makers and gate keepers.
Strong communication, organization, time management and analytical skills.
Persistent, self-motivated and self-assured style.
Able to make professional and compelling presentations; communicate effectively to large and small audiences.
Proven ability to win and grow accounts of strategic importance.
Desire and capability to effectively cold call prospects
Possesses high awareness of risk and ability to devise mitigation plans
Maintain professional appearance and conduct
Knowledge in current industry software and practices
5+ years in account management/sales position or relevant experience
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
